THE LONE TRAVELLER

last night
the resplendent moon
was again in sight
upto its usual tricks -
busy making a mockery
of my carefully nurtured facades.

and thus
while the body
lay on the bed
and read
(the hypocrite)
the soul broke free
to join the moon…

now they both have company
on their lonely travails...
